Birmingham, AL florist creating lush, custom floral designs for unforgettable weddings, events, and special occasions.
Welcome to Frond & Twig
Your wedding is one of the few moments where design, emotion, and memory meet—and florals sit right at the center of it all. As a Birmingham wedding florist, I believe the best floral design comes from true collaboration: your vision paired with my experience and creative eye.
I love working with fresh-cut flowers to bring color, texture, and movement to every wedding and event, creating custom wedding flowers and thoughtful floral “recipes” that feel elevated yet natural. From bridal bouquets to full event floral design, my goal is always to surprise you (in the very best way) with arrangements that feel timeless, joyful, and uniquely yours—while staying mindful of both style and budget.
Based in Birmingham, Alabama, I serve couples locally as well as travel for weddings and events when needed.

Frond & Twig florals are best described as classic and traditional with a soft, organic edge.
Think refined color palettes, elegant compositions, and intentional structure—balanced with loose movement, garden‑inspired textures, and subtle wildflower or boho elements. The result is florals that feel polished but never stiff, romantic but not overly precious.
Meet Leah Kay
I’m the girl who showed up to her third‑grade fall festival wearing an apron and carrying a daisy because I wanted to be a florist when I grew up. And somehow, here we are.
While I briefly wandered from that childhood dream, everything came full circle during my landscape horticulture degree at Auburn, when an elective in floral design made it instantly clear: fresh‑cut flowers were my calling. By my next semester, I had secured an internship—and I haven’t looked back since.
Along the way, I earned a master’s degree in public horticulture and built a strong foundation in landscape design (which is still very much part of my creative DNA). Today, I’m grateful to focus on what I love most: flowers for weddings, events, gifts, and life’s many celebrations.
I’m constantly growing and refining my craft, always striving to make each event better than the last. Truthfully, I’m not quite satisfied unless I overhear another vendor whispering, “That’s the most beautiful bouquet I’ve ever seen.” And yes—it’s happened once or twice.
